Life can be difficult for disabled adults, but there is an organization willing to make it a little easy for them as well as their caregiver. The Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) is a Catholic charity offering to connect disabled adults between the age of 21-39 with weekend recreational activities. Some of the activities include: bowling, movies, swimming at an indoor pool, and barbecue. Of course lunch will be provided for all participants.

DPD is a charity affiliated the Diocese of Paterson.

Participants will meet every Saturday from 10am to 2pm for 12 weeks, at the Gruenert Center located in Oak Ridge, NJ.

If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering or signing up someone you care for, contact Doreen Cook-Wottring at (973) 935-0887 or [email protected].
