2nd Ward Council Election Could Happen in November

Paterson’s lawyer Paul Forsman says the election for the vacant city council seat could happen in November, citing some obscure laws from decades ago.
The seat in question is the recently vacant 2nd ward seat which was held by Mohammed Akhtaruzzaman, who was removed from the seat after a judge found his voter registration had an invalid address. Mohammed Akhtaruzzaman said he will run for the special election; Aslon Goow said he will run for the special election.
The sooner the election the better, for at present the people of 2nd ward do not have a voice in the city council as a result of the vacancy.
