Autumnfest Cancelled

Few months ago, the Great Falls Festival was canceled, but a replacement was put forward: Autumnfest. But, that too has been cancelled this week. The reason being cited is lack of funding. The city and the organizer of the event could not raise enough money to pay for the event.
The state made it clear to the municipal government that the mayor could not dip his hand in the till to fund pantomimes. However, the state gave its sanction saying a little bit of money could be used for the Autumnfest but the rest could not be raised using donation drives, therefore the whole event has been scrapped.
Some in the city lament the cancellation citing these diversions help Patersonians escape the crime infestation of their city, even if, for a moment.
