St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center located in South Paterson has received a grade of B in the Fall 2012 issued by the Leapfrog Group, a hospital rating group, a grade up from its previous rating of C.

The group checks a collection data from each hospital and assesses them before assigning a rating, mainly “based on its safety in preventing errors, infections, injuries and medication mix-ups”.

The group says: “The Hospital Safety Score serves as a warning and informs consumers about which hospitals to avoid and which hospitals to choose.”
