Paterson Police gets 12 new bikes

Paterson Police Department will receive a dozen of top of the line Harley-Davidson Motorcycle; back in October the City Council approved the acquisition.

Police will receive 12 new bikes costing a total of about 90,000 dollars, funds which will come from money collected from drug busts. The total cost of the bikes are near $200,000, but because the city traded in 11 older bikes, it will get the new cycles at almost half price.

The bikes will likely be used to patrol the busy and congested streets of Downtown Paterson.
