A man from Paterson, Hakeem Wadud, 22-year-old, was arrested among the 52 individuals that were charged with the illegal distribution of narcotics around communities in and around the Jersey Shore.

Majority of the individuals arrested were members of the street gang called, Fruit Town Brims, which is affiliated with the infamous street gang Bloods.

Monmouth County prosecutor’s office says, well over 200,000 bags of heroin was distributed during the last six months, and on Monday police recovered $17,000 in cash during the bust, as well as $150,000 worth of heroin.

Much of the illicit drugs were transported from the Newark area down to their destination in Ocean and Monmouth Counties.

Mr Wadud along with others have been charged with, “racketeering conspiracy for their involvement in the ongoing criminal enterprise,” states the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
