2 stabbed outside a bar on Market Street

Outside a bar in Market Street, passing by individuals witnessed a man arguing with a woman, when they attempted to intervene, the man stabbed them with a pocketknife.
The two man who were stabbed during the late night incident Sunday are in stable condition in St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where the victims are being treated.
Jeffrey Vasquez, 23-year-old, has been arrested, and is charged with attempted murder. When police arrived on the scene, they found Mr Vasquez caught up in a scuffle with another man, who was charged with disorderly conduct.
Mr Vasquez was taken to hospital for treatment, for he was bruised during the incident; he is being held at the Passaic County Jail.
