The Passaic Valley Water Commission which issued a boil water advisory for a section of Paterson on Wednesday has lifted that advisory. Residents are free to drink water without boiling.

“We are pleased to report that the repairs have been completed and subsequent water quality testing shows the water quality to be safe,” stated the commission. A central water pipe broke near Van Houten Street earlier in the week that resulted in the advisory.
