Tax bills to hit the mailboxes after budget gets approved

Residents of Paterson have yet to receive their February tax bill, according to a local paper. The local government normally sends out the tax bill around mid-February, but last year and this year that has not happened; instead it has been postponed for March.
The city’s homeowners are expecting an increases in taxes from the previous year; some say the taxes are set to double which is bad news for the city’s already over-burdened tax payers. City council officials informed the mayor during last weeks meeting to present a budget for a final vote within this week.
It is assumed that once the budget has been approved the tax bills will hit the mailboxes.
