16-year-old shot on East 18th Street at 3am

A teenager who was walking on East 18th Street with a friend found himself in middle of a shooting where he was wounded and remains in critical condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
At around 3am, the 16-year-old and a friend of his, were approached by a gunman who fired multiple shots, one of which wounded the teenager; after being shot in the lower-body, the youth ran towards Broadway where he collapsed at a gas station.
Police are investigating the case, and are seeking information from city residents; residents with information are encouraged to call 973-321-1342.
