A man was inside Banana King, a restaurant located on 21st Avenue, during the early morning hours of Monday, when a fight broke out. A dispute between a few man resulted in a physical fight which left a 24-year-old man stabbed and hospitalized.
The victim, who was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, is in stable condition. Another fellow, who was inside the restaurant when the fight broke out, suffered minor injuries and to the head.
Police are investigating the incident.
These incidents are not uncommon; for last year the city council attempted to curtail late business hours for late-night businesses because it often bred violence.
