A man, who was tinkering with his car near East 32nd Street, was approached by another wearing a dark-hoodie, little before 11pm on Thursday, and demanded the former handover all he had.
The man, 22-year-old, who was fixing his vehicle, refused, at this point the suspect began to assault the man for his refusal; the suspect beat the man to the ground, punching him in the face and gut. The victim soon after falling to the ground gained a little composure and ran for his life.
Although the victim took a beating he did not give up his wallet or possessions to the assailant. The 22-year-old was released from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center after he was treated for injuries.
The assailant is described as a black man, dressed in a hoodie and black cap.
