Checkers on West Broadway robbed by gunman

Checkers, a fast-food place located on West Broadway, at the end of Union Avenue, was robbed early Sunday morning, according to Paterson Police.
The suspect, a man dressed in gray clothing and wearing something that hid his face, walked into the establishment at around 4am Sunday, pointed a gun at the employees, and made away with $75 after going through the restaurant’s cash registrars.
During the armed robbery none of the employees or patrons were injured. After grabbing the cash, the suspect fled out of the store. Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male, 5’10, and about 170 pounds.
Police are investigating the incident.
