A second prize winning lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Shell Gas Station on 18th Avenue, announced lottery officials on Wednesday. The winning numbers for yesterday’s drawing were: 07, 08, 09, 24, 29; and the red power ball number was 25.

A city resident, who is known for frequenting the station, is on his way to claim the prize, said Sukhman Singh, manager at the gas station. “Every day he comes and plays this lottery,” said Singh.

“There was one $1,000,000 second prize New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the 5 white balls,” read an announcement issued by lottery officials on Wednesday. Judith Drucker, a spokesperson for New Jersey Lottery, said as of Thursday afternoon no one has claimed the prize.

Singh, who described the winner as a 30-something year old, Hispanic man, said the man that purchased the winning ticket is traveling to Trenton to claim his prize.

The winner, said Singh, is known for playing the same numbers everyday – the manager estimated that since the gas station was purchased some eight years ago, he has seen the Hispanic man buying tickets from the shop. “Every day same numbers,” said Singh.
