Michael Goodson, suspect in Kearney Street shooting, wanted

A suspect has been named in the broad daylight shooting of a 25-year-old near the intersection of Crosby Avenue and Kearney Street, according to the Paterson Police Department.

Michael Goodson (pictured), 25, the suspect, is wanted in connection to the Friday, January 17th, 2014 shooting of a 25-year-old, at around 12:45 p.m., near Crosby Avenue and Kearney Street.

Police said the victim was sitting inside his vehicle when Goodson pulled out a handgun and released a bullet hitting the victim on the left leg. Goodson’s last known address is 71 North 9th Street; he is known for frequenting the lower section of Union Avenue near Redwood Avenue; the suspect is also known for hanging around Temple Street.

Goodson has been charged with attempted murder and weapon possession.

Michael Goodwin, the suspect, who police mistakenly named Goodson, has since surrendered. On Thursday morning, Goodwin walked into the police headquarters, and surrendered.
