A chicken joint on the corner of Clinton and North Main Streets was robbed by four men, one of them armed with a shotgun, during the early morning hours of Tuesday, according to the Paterson Police Department.

The gunmen, all wearing masks to cover their identities, walked into the fried chicken shop sometime prior to 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday with one of wielding a shotgun. The suspect with the gun assaulted one of the two employee at the store before emptying out the cash register and snatching whatever they could find at hand.

Police responded at 3:30 a.m. after receiving a phone call from the second employee working at the joint who was unharmed. Police quickly learned the four suspects were heading towards Jefferson Street, and they began to search the area for the suspects. It is yet clear whether the suspects were found.
