City woman who shot another surrenders to police

A female suspect who wounded a woman following an argument inside a East 27th Street home has surrendered to police, according to the Paterson Police Department.

Leigh White (pictured), 45-year-old, walked into police headquarters on Monday to surrender herself to authorities, over an incident that happened two weeks ago when she shot and wounded a woman following an argument. “On Monday, 3/24, Leigh White, wanted by Ceasefire Detectives for a shooting incident which occurred two weeks ago on March 10, surrendered to Detectives at police headquarters,” said police.

The 36-year-old woman White wounded was treated and released from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. White has been charged with being in possession of a weapon and she has been charged with attempted murder, according to police. “

White will remain in police lockup until a bail hearing.
