Teague: I won’t take a salary if elected to city council‏

letter-to-editor-hq

I want to make it clear that if I decide to run for the 2016 municipal election and win I will not take a salary. In fact, my plan is to draft an ordinance allowing the money to be put directly into programs for the youth and families in the first ward.

God has blessed me with friends and family who love me. I’m not greedy. My only desire is to assist my city. I will work just as a hard as a salaried elected official – just without the pay.

This is my commitment to you, the residents of the city of Paterson. All I can offer is who I am and I will bring the best of me to the table, should I finally decide to run for the office of 1st ward councilman. I’m still in the thinking stages. Nevertheless, I’m here to serve for the long haul.

Humbly Submitted,

Corey L. Teague
1st Ward Resident.
