A well-known city artist RoByn Thompson has been selected to exhibit her art works at the Straube Center in Pennington, New Jersey. Thompson earned the opportunity by becoming the Ebu Artist of the year for 2014 in spring of this year.

Thompson’s solo exhibition will open on October 24 and remain there until January 16, 2015. Her art works feature a good deal of bright colors and abstract symbolism. She won the artist of the year award beating out a number of international artists with a retelling the Lenape Native American legend of the Rainbow Crow.

Thompson paints to uplift her mood and keep melancholy at bay. Most of the work that will be displayed at the exhibition is the product of her daily painting ritual. She is known for body painting and when not using flesh as canvas to express her creativity, Thompson keeps herself busy with photography.

She has also published several books and created the “The Skyclad Tarot.”  Thompson has won many awards for body painting.

Her work will be exhibited at the Straube Center located at One Strabe Center Boulvard, Pennington, NJ 08534. The center is also home to the Ebu Art Museum. Thompson’s exhibition will be open beginning October 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 12 to 4 p.m. on weekends.
