A male victim was struck by bullet during the early morning hours of Sunday at the intersection of 12th Avenue and 22nd Street, according to sources.

Police responded to the area at around 2:10 a.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of multiple gunshots in the area. Officers did not find a victim at the scene. Bystanders said a male victim was injured in a shooting incident near Estrella Bar and Liquor. A group of people loitering outside the liquor store scurried after shots were fired.

The victim was put inside a late model Dodge Charger by two dark-skinned males, according to a source.

Police have not released information about the incident.

Half an hour after the shooting police received a call of a dying or dead male victim in Roberto Clemente Park off Rose Street.

It is not clear if the two incidents are connected. Police are investigating the shooting.
