Municipal officials settled two lawsuits involving city vehicles earlier in the week paying out $19,500.
The first case involving Tangee Roberts, who filed a lawsuit in the Passaic County Superior Court, after sustaining alleged injuries in a traffic accident that took place on April 3rd, 2012, was settled for $18,500.
The the second case involving Vicenta Carnero, who sustained alleged injuries following an April 11th 2011 accident involving a city owned vehicle, was settled for $1,000. Carnero was inside a bus that was on West Broadway near Matlock Street, when a city vehicle struck the bus allegedly injuring him.
Council members approved the settlements during a special meeting of the city council on Tuesday evening.
