Boys and Girls Club taking scholarship applications

The Boys and Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic is offering three scholarships for residents of both cities.

First of the three is the $50,000 JBT Scholarship for college which is open to Paterson high school students who have completed 100-percent of all courses offered at the club. The applicant must also complete a community service project.

The second $5,000 Richard Mainardi Scholarship for scholastic or extracurricular endeavors which is open to residents of both Paterson and Passaic. The applicant must be a past or present member of the club. The scholarship can be used to pay for private high school, college tuition or “extracurricular classes that will enrich the student’s life including sports camps.”

Third is the $1,000 Suzanne Farnon Walker Scholarship for scholastic or extracurricular endeavors open to residents of both cities. To apply one must be a past or present member of the club.

Scholarship applications are available at the clubs 264 21st Avenue, Paterson, NJ office. Applicants must have parental consent to apply for the scholarship and meet all eligibility requirements.
