News 12 to showcase Paterson on its ‘On The Road’ series

The local 24-hour television news channel News 12 will feature Paterson in its annual “On The Road” series that showcases the spirit of New Jersey.

“This summer we are celebrating 16 New Jersey towns and events,” Randal Stanley, News 12 New Jersey News Director, said. “Each year, ‘On The Road’ captures the genuine Jersey spirit unique in each community.”

The live news segment will be shot in Lary Doby Field with anchor Nick Meidanis and meteorologist Dave Curren. The segment will highlight local people, businesses, and landscapes.

“Our News 12 New Jersey viewers invite us into their hometowns to experience what makes them special,” Stanley said.

The channel will visit 16 New Jersey towns and cities every Friday of the summer. Seaside Heights, Warren, Princeton, Jersey City, and Point Pleasant are just some of the municipalities that will be featured as part of “On the Road 2015.”

City residents can be part of the live broadcast on June 19 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the “Pride of Paterson Boxing in the Park 2015” presented by the Team Adams Foundation in Eastside Park at Larry Doby Field.

The segment can be viewed live on channel 12 for Optimum TV, Service Electric, and Time Warner Cable systems in New Jersey. Channel 62 or HD1218 on New Jersey Comcast cable. Viewers can also find the segment available on-demand on News 12 Interactive on channel 612 on Optimum TV.

The broadcast will explore the things that make the Silk City special.
