A city man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly dealing drugs out of his Belmont Avenue home, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

Shaquan Harrell, 23-year-old, has been charged with heroin possession and distribution. Authorities said he was distributing drugs from his mother’s home that he shared at 26 Belmont Avenue.

“Harrell was utilizing his residence as a distribution hub, while his mother was working,” Berdnik said.

Authorities recovered 87 glassine envelopes of heroin and $992 in cash inside the home. Harrell had an outstanding criminal warrant for hinder apprehension, authorities said.

Harrell was transported to Totowa on the outstanding warrant.
