Police issue 86 violations in 5th Ward crime suppression operation

City police cracked down on ordinance violations in the 5th Ward, said police director Jerry Speziale on Monday evening.
Police officers responded to 13 locations in the 5th Ward and issued 86 tickets for obstruction of public passage, public drinking, and obstruction of commercial establishment, said the director.
The more than dozen locations mostly focused on Park Avenue, East 19th, Market, Pennington, and Summer Streets, according to police.
