A city man driving while in possession of a loaded revolver, baggies of cocaine, and a marijuana cigar was arrested early Tuesday morning, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Robert Santiago, 18-year-old, was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana, authorities said. Santiago was pulled over by Sheriff’s Officer Kelly Lincoln on Keen and Mercer streets at around 3:07 a.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities recovered a loaded Wembley .38 caliber revolver, five small baggies of cocaine, a marijuana cigar, and a small amount of marijuana, Berdnik said.
Berdnik said Santiago also had an outstanding $500 warrant.
“The fact that the suspect had both drugs and loaded handgun shows serious criminal intent,” Berdnik said. “I want to commend Officer Lincoln and the others involved for getting, yet another loaded handgun off the streets of Passaic County.”
