The city’s free public library is offering English as a second (ESL) classes beginning October 5.

English language learners must sign up for the classes that will be held Monday through Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning October 5 and run through December 10.

Classes are being offered through the library’s partnership with the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, the American Library Association, and the Literacy Volunteers of America.

Anyone who knows someone who may need help in learning English is being asked to disseminate this information.
