Spencer: ‘I apologize for the poor choice of words’

It was never my desire or attempt to offend anyone; therefore I would like to express my sincere regret at the selection of a poor choice of words to express my frustration and passion for the needs of the First Ward residents.
In my earnest attempt to relay my concerns, I chose a word that was derogatory. Again, I apologize for the poor choice of words, and any offence caused to anyone. I remain committed to representing “ALL” people in the First Ward upon my election.
