A 15-year-old city girl jumped to her death from the overlook at the Garret Mountain Reservation on Wednesday evening, authorities said.
The victim jumped to her death at about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday. She fell over the cliff at the reservation, according to William Maer, spokesman for the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office.
Maer said the incident is still under investigation, but preliminary investigation points to a suicide. The student was a freshman at John F. Kennedy High School, according to Paterson school officials.
