Four people were arrested on drug charges and 140 glassine envelopes of heroin were recovered Monday evening, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

Detectives observed Rainey, the alleged dealer, make a hand-to-hand drug transaction with individuals inside a white Kia bearing Pennsylvania plates. Authoirties approached and placed all four under arrest.

140 glassine envelopes of heroin with street value of $1,000 was recovered, Berdnik said.

Rainey was charged with drug possession and distribution. Berdnik said Rainey had an active warrant.

Rainey was transported to city police lockup.

Torres, Mckenna, and Zuna were charged with posession of 140 packets of heroin that they purchased from Rainey.

Berdnik said they were processed and released on their own recognizance.

“This arrest should, once again send a message to individuals involved in buying and selling narcotics in Passaic County,” Berdnik said. “If you come into Passaic County to buy drugs, you will eventually be arrested.”
