City police arrested a man who exited a known Broadway drug spot with a bundle of heroin and bags of crack-cocaine early Wednesday morning, said police director Jerry Speziale.

Nezer Williams, 46, was arrested on drug charges when he exited 239 Broadway, at about 6:20 a.m. today, said the director.

Williams ignored police officers and continued walking north towards Auburn Street. Officers observed clear bags, suspected drugs, sticking out from his pants. Officers S. Marotta and J. Suarez watched Williams as he walked away attempting hide a plastic bag next to a trash receptacle in the corner of Broadway and Auburn Street, said the director.

15 bundles of heroin and 63 bags of crack-cocaine was recovered from Williams, said the director. He was arrested and taken to headquarters on various drug charges and resisting arrest by flight.

Police raided 239 Broadway twice and recovered drugs and weapons since late October.

“The officers will continue to make a safer city removing any and all individuals responsible for illegal drug activity,” said Speziale commending the two police officers.
