Off-duty police officer involved in Paterson shooting


An off-duty police officer was involved in a shooting on Main Street early Thursday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities are investigating the shooting which occurred at around 1:20 a.m. outside the 7-Eleven in downtown Paterson.

Little information has been released about the Paterson police officer involved or any victim.

“No one has been charged or arrested and the investigation remains ongoing,” said the prosecutor’s office Friday morning.
