A city boy is in stable condition at the hospital Monday night after a stray bullet entered through the window of his Rosa Parks Boulevard home and left him with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, according to authorities.

The victim, 7-year-old, was inside the first floor apartment of 43 Rosa Parks Boulevard at around 6:15, when a stray bullet fired by someone on the street entered through the window and struck him on the shoulder.

Police rushed the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. Authorities said the boy is in stable condition at the hospital.

Authorities said the child was not the intended target.
