Passaic man killed in Paterson shooting, police


A Passaic City man was killed in a shooting on East 25th Street in Paterson late Monday night, according to police.

Genny Rivas, 39-year-old, was shot outside 474 East 25th Street at about 11:50 p.m. last night. Police arrived on the scene to find Rivas was dead from a gunshot wound, said detective captain Heriberto Rodriguez.

    From what I hear he owned the house as a rental property but lived in Passaic. This is why I would never have a rental property in Paterson. My dad's buddy who fought the communist guerillas in the jungles of the amazon in the 80s was chased out of his rental property because it was taken over by crack dealers
