The Greater Paterson Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Paterson Task Force and Valley National Bank is hosting a business retention seminar on Tuesday, June 7th 2016 to highlight various incentives available to businesses to remain in the Silk City.

The seminar will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the task force’s headquarter located at 109 Washington Street.

Speakers at the event will include city economic development director Ruben Gomez, director of the Paterson Small Business Development Center Kate Muldoon, and director of Paterson Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) Penni Forestieri.

There will also be speakers from lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno’s office and the New Jersey Department of Labor.

“While the economy is showing signs of slight improvement, our businesses in Paterson still struggle to stay in business. I am pleased that we could offer a seminar that will bring awareness of available business incentives to the businesses in our area,” said Jamie Dykes, president of the Greater Paterson Chamber of Commerce.

“Retaining businesses in the City also retains jobs. As the Community Action Agency of the City of Paterson, we need to assist the business community by providing opportunities to learn what is available through various programs, which can lead to additional employment for Paterson residents,” said Lana Stokes, head of the Paterson Task Force.
