The four-day annual Passaic County Fair is expected to kickoff at the Garret Mountain Reservation this Thursday evening.
Fair will feature two days of fireworks, carnival rides, pony rides, petting zoos, an assortment of food vendors, chess tournament, and other activities for families and children.
Passaic County Fair will kickoff on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 6 p.m.
“I am very excited about our Annual County Fair, and I am very thankful for all of our sponsors who are giving back to their community by partnering with us to host the Annual Fair,” Passaic County Freeholder Director Theodore “TJ” Best said in a statement. “The fair is a great annual tradition, and we are pleased that it has grown to the success it is today.”
More than 30 businesses in Passaic County sponsored the annual event. Among those is returning sponsor Schumacher Chevrolet of Little Falls. Founded in 1932 the car dealership continues to operate at its original location on Main Street.
Dealership is managed by Steven Tilton and Judith Schumacher-Tilton. Both are generous in supporting charitable causes including Camp Hope in West Milford.
“I am proud to support the long standing tradition in Passaic County, and our partnership with the Board of Chosen Freeholders and Friends of Passaic County Parks, together we put on a spectacular event.” Tilton said. “As a longtime business owner in Passaic County, we know the Freeholders are always great partners. Schumacher Chevrolet and my family will continue our support of worthy causes like the County Fair.”
The fair will also highlight the many features of the Garret Mountain Reservation including the renovated tower of the magnificent Lambert Castle.
Fair hours are as follows:
