A 19-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting late Wednesday night on North Main and Stout Streets, according to police.
Police said the victim was walking on North Main Street at about 11:32 p.m. when a dark color vehicle traveling on Stout Street, slowed, and released gunfire. The victim attempted to run to avoid being hit, but was struck on the leg.
Police said the victim managed to get himself to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by private vehicle. He was treated and released from the hospital, said police.
This is the city’s 16th shooting this month.
