A 20-year-old city man suffered gunshot wound to the upper leg while driving through the intersection of Rosa Parks Boulevard and 12th Avenue on Monday evening, according to police.
Police said the victim was driving through the intersection at about 6:30 p.m. when shots were fired and he was struck inside his vehicle. He continued driving on 12th Avenue and pulled over and was taken to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by another man.
The victim is in stable condition and is expected to be released, said police. Detectives are canvassing the area for possible witnesses to the shooting.
