Teague congratulates school board winners, vows to continue advocating for students

letter-to-editor-hq

Congratulations to Irving, Rivera, Capers & Martinez on a successful win tonight. What I can commit to the City of Paterson is a continued commitment to advocate for our children. That will not change.

We did pretty good (3,564 to be exact) it was close but not close enough. I’m happy because we did good this year. We worked hard, made connections and even some new connections.

I want to thank the Paterson Education Association for their continued support. I also want to thank my campaign manager, Sebastian Mejia for running a stellar campaign. Now, I’ll continue my work as the activist! Nothing will ever stop that from happening.

To my chief of staff, James Kiamie, thank you for being there with me through the entire campaign. To the many of you who publicly supported me and those who supported me in private.

For every call, text, inspirational message, I thank you all. But know this, I will not stop being the activist for our children! It’s in my blood.

When it comes to speaking up about the issues that impact the children I will be there. When it comes to underfunding I will be there. When I comes to standing up and fighting for our children I will be there.

Thank you all again for your vote of confidence! Peace and Love!
