15-year-old boy wounded in Paterson shooting

A 15-year-old city boy was wounded in a shooting on Keen Street on Wednesday evening, according to police.

Police said the boy was struck in a shooting on Keen Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard at about 10:15 p.m.

He sustained a graze wound to the torso, said police director Jerry Speziale. The boy was wounded when shots were fired at Keen Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard. Police responded to the location, but could not locate a victim.

Police received calls a gunshot victim at the intersection of Governor Street close to Carroll Street. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police said the boy is in stable condition.

The victim was wounded on Keen Street. He fled the area to Governor Street, said police.
