One or more thieves burglarized a garage at the Paterson health department over the weekend, confirmed health and human services director Donna Nelson-Ivy on Tuesday evening.
Ivy said she did not have much details about the burglary. She said the break-in happened at the division of health and referred questions to health officer Paul Persaud.
Persaud said some rodent supplies were taken during the burglary. Police were called in to file a report of the incident on Monday. He said there are cameras at the Broadway garage, but it’s not clear whether those cameras were functioning at the time of the incident.
Police director Jerry Speziale on Wednesday said he did not have information about the incident.
