Paterson settles car accident lawsuit with woman paying $6,500

The city council approved $6,500 to settle a lawsuit filed by an Orange resident seeking compensation for property damage.
Sonia Sulie was involved in a car accident with a Paterson police vehicle. She filed her lawsuit on June 20th, 2016 seeking cost of property damage, rental car fees, and storage fees, according to court and city records.
Sulie wanted $14,999, according to her court complaint.
Council members approved the settlement at a special meeting on February 21st, 2017.
