One person was killed and five others were wounded in a shooting at an after-hours nightclub on lower Main Street early Sunday morning, according to police.

Police said the shooting occurred at 86 Main Street at about 5:30 a.m. Police found multiple people in the parking lot and inside the club that were shot, said police.

Four people were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment and two people arrived on their own, said police.

One person was pronounced dead.

Police have to notify the person’s next of kin before releasing name. Six hours earlier, 20-year-old Edward Andeliz was killed in a shooting on 16th Avenue, according to police.

Both the Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the incident, said police.
