A city man was found with a gunshot wound in front of a property on Hamilton Avenue on Sunday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police found the victim in front of 190 Hamilton Avenue suffering from a non-fatal gunshot. He was rushed to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A short time earlier, at around 10:38 p.m., police were flagged down in front of 253 Broadway by a good Samaritan who told officers there was a shotgun at the entrance to the building.
Police located and recovered the shotgun.
Authorities appear to suggest the recovery of the shotgun and the shooting incidents are tied together.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
