A city man was killed in an early Friday morning shooting at a downtown Paterson pool hall, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, which identified the victim as 34-year-old Dontrelle Horne.

Horne was found with a gunshot wound inside the Paterson Billiards on Market Street at around 2:38 a.m., authorities said. He was rushed to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities said Horne was pronounced dead at 3:08 a.m.
