Seven days of Kwanzaa celebration being hosted in Paterson

The NuFamily Foundation and other organizations are putting on a seven-day Kwanzaa celebration to celebrate the rich African culture beginning on December 26, 2017 featuring food and entertainment.

Each day celebrates a different principle — unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith — of African heritage.

  • Dec. 26: New Roberto Clemente School from 5:30-8 p.m.
  • Dec. 27: St. Luke’s Baptist Church from 5-7:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 28: School 28 from 5:30-8 p.m.
  • Dec. 29: John F. Kennedy High School from 5:30-9 p.m.
  • Dec. 30: International High School from 1-3:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 31: Rosa Parks High School from 2:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Jan. 1: Eastside High School from 2-6 p.m.

Libation will be conducted by Alonzo Moody and drumming will be done by Victor Moore.
