A 25-year-old city man was hurt in a shooting on Market Street on Monday evening, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police responded to report of a shooting on Market and Pennington streets at around 7:08 p.m. but could not locate a victim.
A short time later, police received information a shooting victim had arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Police determined the victim was wounded in the shooting at the intersection of Market and Pennington streets.
