Second Paterson shooting injures 22-year-old on Main Street

A 22-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the area of Main and Weiss streets in the city’s second shooting on Monday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities said the victim, a city resident, was at the intersection at around 9:56 p.m. when gunfire rang out.

Police received information a man with a non-fatal gunshot wound had arrived at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment.

Three hours earlier, a 25-year-old man was wounded in a shooting on Market and Pennington streets, according to police.

Police responded to report of a shooting at around 7:08 p.m. A short time later, a shooting victim arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
