Three people were apprehended during simultaneous drug raids in Paterson and Hackensack on Friday morning leading to the seizure of 488 glassine envelopes of heroin and $23,780 cash, according to police.

Detectives arrested Pedro Anaya aka “Skippy,” 42, of Paterson; Elizabeth Sanchez, 31, of Hackensack; and Hiram Ramos aka “Cuto,” 44, of Paterson during the raids at 61 Park Avenue in Paterson and 40 Passaic Street in Hackensack.

Police raided both locations at around 7:20 a.m. Police began investigating drug dealing at the apartment building at 61-69 Park Avenue in June. In July, police obtained warrants to search apartment 211. Additionally, police obtained a warrant to search apartment 1A at 40 Passaic Street in Hackensack that was being used to safeguard money from drug sales.

Detectives also seized 35 grams of crack cocaine and 18 grams of cocaine, authorities said. $20,960 was confiscated from Sanchez and $2,820 from Anaya, police said.

Anaya, Sanchez, and Ramos were each charged with 15 drug offenses, including possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug manufacturing facility, according to police director Jerry Speziale.
