A deceased man was pulled out of the Passaic River by the Straight Street Bridge on Tuesday morning.

Police and firefighters responded to report of a body floating in the river at around 9 a.m.

Firefighters used a raft to get to the body and pull it out from the water.

Police believe the unidentified person jumped into the river at the Great Falls and floated downstream. Police officers also responded to the Wayne Avenue bridge.
